blauðr Old Icelandic word can mean:
- 1) weak, cowardly; bíð nú, ef þú ert eigi ~, if thou art not a coward;
- 2) feminine, opp. to hvatr, but only used of animals, dogs, cats, fishes; hafit nú hendr á hundinum, þótt ~ sé, take the dog, though it be a bitch.
