As defined by A Concise Dictionary of Old Icelandic (Geir Zoëga):

feigr

a. fated to die, fey; ekki má feigum forða, there is no saving, or rescuing, a ‘fey’ man; standa, ganga feigum fótum to tread on the verge of ruin; mæla feigum munni, to talk wilh a ‘fey’ mouth; vilja e-n feigan, to wish one’s death; dead (fyllist fjörvi ~a manna).
