- (-ta, -tr), v.
- 1) to lock, with dat.; læsti hón loptinu innan, she locked the room from the inside; kirkjur vóru allar læstar, all the churches were locked;
- 2) to shut in, lock up (hón fylgdi henni í útibúr ok læsti þau þar);
- 3) to set in metal (í hjalti sverðsins vóru læstir lyfsteinar).
