- pron. indef., = né einn;
- 1) any, following after a negation (aldrei svá, at honum væri nein raun í); ekki er þetta furða nein, it is no apparition; ekki neins staðar, not anywhere;
- 2) as subst. any one, anybody; ekki neitt, nothing.
