nökkut Old Icelandic word can mean:
- 1) somewhat, in some degree, rather (þó at hann þœtti ~ blandinn); henni var skapþungt ~ (nakkvat), she was rather depressed in spirit; nú hefi ek ~ hugsat málit, now I have thought over the matter somewhat;
- 2) at all, to any extent (vill þú ~ sonu þína við láta vera?).
