f. reason; vera með fullri ~, to be in one’s right senses (þá er vér erum údrukknir ok með fullri ~); kunna litla ~, to have little understanding (kunnum vér litla ~ til at skipa svá stórum málum); hafa ~ af e-u, to have knowledge of; þá muntu synja þess með ~, then thou must deny it, giving reasons for it; gjalda ~ e-s, af e-u, to give account of; krefja e-n ~ar fyrir e-t, af e-u, to call one to account for a thing.
