smjúga Old Icelandic word can mean:
- (smýg; smaug or smó, smugum; smoginn), v.
- 1) to creep through an opening; smugu þeir milli spalanna, they crept between the bars; smýgr hann þá niðr undir hjá henni, he creeps under the bed-clothes; to put on a garment with only a round hole to put the head through (gullbrynju smó);
- 2) to pierce (kom lásör í brúnina ok smó þegar í gegnum).
