- refl., ýfast, to become ruffled, get angry (þótti mér sá björninn, er fyrir varð, ~st mjök); tók at ~st með þeim, they began to be on bad terms; ~st við e-n, to provoke one, pick a quarrel with one (Magnús son hans ýfðist mjök við Harald).
